How far are you from the nearest town?
Lyndoch is the nearest town with full facilities and is only 3km (5 minutes) drive away or pleasant 30min walk.
Gawler & Tanunda are the next nearest towns each only about 10 minutes drive away.

Lyndoch Hill Restaurant (1.5km) and Lord Lyndoch (3.5km) are both open 7 nights per week.
I don't want to cook, can we order meals in-house?
Apart from self-catering breakfast provisions we do not have facility to provide any other food. We recommend the Lord Lyndoch Restaurant for in-house meals to pick-up as they offer the option of ordering anything on their menu to take-away.
What should we bring with us?
We like to think we provide everything required to make your stay comfortable however apart from your personal items and clothing you may also like to bring your favourite music on CD or to stream via one of the Bluetooth devices. We provide a selection of DVD's and NETFLIX to stream and also have a library for book/magazine loans or swaps.

Is there a telephone, internet access or mobile phone coverage?
We do not have telephones in the pavilions however we do have free internet access (subject to acceptable use).
Good mobile phone coverage is available from all networks; Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, etc.
Is the location quiet?
The simple answer is yes... generally Barossa Pavilions is a very peaceful place to stay.
The more complex answer is dependent on expectations... since all pavilions occupy elevated position with vast views, and because line-of-sight noises can travel vast distances in rural areas that don't have the background ambient noise of a city, some machinery noise from nearby working farms/vineyards or the adjacent winery can be expected at times. Our convenient location near a winery on the edge of Lyndoch also means the nearest road is located just over the river, so during grape/grain harvest extra noise can be expected from machinery/trucks as is the case in all cropping/wine production areas. Lastly, since the Barossa is a fruit growing region, sometimes bird mitigating gas guns may be in operation during the daylight hours in neighbouring vineyards from Feb - April as grapes ripen.
Are the pavilions non-smoking?
Smoking is not permitted inside any pavilions. You may smoke on the outside decking however we ask that you be careful to extinguish your butts fully in the ashtray provided and also ensure windows/doors facing the deck are closed to avoid smoke drifting inside the pavilion. If evidence of smoking inside a pavilion is found an additional cleaning/airing charge of $500 will be applicable.
