How many pavilions are on the property?

There are six pavilions located on the 75 acres hillside property - each pavilion is designed for just one couple with a minimum of 50 metres separating each from the next, privacy was a primary consideration in the design.

Are all pavilions identical?
Yes apart from interior colour differences the layout, furnishings and amenities of each pavilion is the same. The views from each pavilion is similar, each faces east and has uninterrupted views.

Is the access road to your property sealed?
Only 1.5km along Fuss Road is unsealded but generally in good condition, otherwise if you take the Yaldara Drive access option the last 300 metres is unsealed but can have pot-holes towards the end to avoid. Internal roads on the property are not sealed but are in good condition.

Do you cater for special dietary needs?
Yes. Please let us know about your dietary requirements when making your booking and we will be happy to provide an appropriate breakfast selection.

Is the accommodation serviced?
Barossa Pavilions is rated by the AAAT as 4.5 star Self-contained Bed & Breakfast Accommodation which means the pavilions are not serviced. We however, for stays of 5 nights or longer include linen/towel servicing mid stay.

What is the check-in procedure?
We will SMS you within 24hrs of arrival with access codes to the property & your pavilion. If you do not have access to your SMS then please call us on 1800 990 055 within 24hrs of arrival.Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out at 11 am. If you have any queries when you arrive, the information office has a telephone available 24/7 so that you may get in touch with us or one of our representatives.

Do you accept 1 night bookings?
We prefer 2 night booking however we understand it is not always possible to get away for 2 or more nights so we do accept 1 night bookings midweek. Weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) are strickly a 2 night minimum stay.

Is the accommodation quiet?
You should find Barossa Pavilions a very tranquil and quiet place to stay. Because of the distance between each pavilion and size of the property noise pollution is generally not an issue. You should however be mindful that it is also a working farm and surrounded by other farms and a winery. We endeavor to keep farm noise to a minimum but are not in control of our neighbours - that being said they are quite a distance from the pavilions.

How long will it take to travel to Barossa Pavilions?
From Adelaide via Gawler allow approx. 1 hour
From Adelaide via Adelaide Hills (scenic route) allow approx. 1.5 hours

How far are you from the nearest town?
Lyndoch is the nearest town and is only 3.5km (5 minutes) away. Gawler is a major regional center only 15km (20 minutes) away.

How far are you from the nearest restaurant?
There is a cafe open for lunch most days & dinner Friday & Saturday nights at the Chateau Yaldara winery just below our property (500m walk). For dinner Lyndoch Hill Retreat hotel or Lord Lyndoch with a few kilometers.

Can I purchase a gift certificate?
Yes. Please contact us to discuss options available. Most certificates can be valid for a six months and can be used at any time providing they satisfy any minimum stay requirement for the dates wanted.

Is there a telephone, internet access or mobile phone coverage?
A telephone is available at the information office 24/7 for local calls. We do not have telephones in the pavilions nor is there any internet access on the property at present (we are hoping to have this facility in the not too distant future). Mobile phone coverage on the property is good from most service providers.

Are the pavilions non-smoking?
Yes. Smoking is not permitted inside the pavilions. You may smoke on the outside decking however we ask that you be careful to extinguish your butts fully in the ashtray provided and also ensure windows/doors facing the deck are closed to avoid smoke drifting inside the pavilion. If evidence of smoking inside a pavilion is found an additional cleaning/airing charge of $200 will be applicable.

What should we bring with us?
We like to think we provide everything required to make your stay comfortable however apart from your personal items and clothes you may also like to bring your favourite music on CD or Ipod. We do provide a selection of movies & magazines for your entertainment.

Is there a supermarket close by?
Yes. Lyndoch is just a few minutes away and has a supermarket along with an excellent bakery and butcher.

Do you cater for children?
Unfortunately not. Barossa Pavilions is designed to be a tranquil retreat for just one couple per pavilion with no extra bedding available for children. However, babies (less than 2 yrs old) in their own portable cot are welcome, please advise when booking. Please also note that there are stairs, steep sections of ground, electric fences, livestock and a dam on the property which means any babies should be kept under supervision at all times.

Can we bring our pets?
Unfortunately not. Barossa Pavilions is not only a tranquil retreat but also a working farm with stock and often visiting kangaroos therefore pets would not be suitable however, Guide Dogs are the exception and are welcome at any time. Why not treat your dog or cat to a break also, with a stay at 'Barossa Bed & Biscuit' - we highly recommend it, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels stay there often. Contact us for their details.
